I work with cultural and heritage organisations to develop and evaluate effective strategy, provision and resources which are sustainable, forward thinking and audience-focused.
I can work with you to:
- Evaluate and improve your existing provision
- Increase and diversify your audiences
- Provide strategic focus for your activity
- Attract funding
- Create learning experiences which are meaningful, memorable, relevant and enjoyable.
I have worked in the field of learning and interpretation for over twenty years. After teaching in primary schools in Sussex, I worked in Learning teams at Brighton & Hove Museums and Galleries, and the London Transport Museum before joining the National Maritime Museum as Head of Formal Learning.
I am experienced in the management and production of provision for formal and informal audiences, linked to a range of organisations, collections and themes. This includes: gallery and exhibition development, learning strategy creation, interpretation, audience development, resource and programme development and delivery, evaluation, and partnerships.
Although my experience crosses a range of audiences, collections and organisations, I have particular expertise and interest in hidden histories, decolonisation of collections and display, local heritage, interpretation through multiple perspectives, digital approaches, and curriculum-linked learning provision.
I am known professionally both as Anna Husband and Anna Salaman.
