The V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green is home to one of the world’s largest and oldest collections of toys and childhood artefacts. The Museum has strong roots in education and local community: “the Museum will afford a place for the education of the workmen of East London in art and for the recreation of themselves and their families, we submit that it be made educational in the widest sense of the word” (Antonio Brady, key protagonist in the establishment of the Museum).

Working closely with the Learning team through a series of workshops, we created a Learning Strategy to foreground participation, champion the value of play and put learning at the heart of the Museum.
