Performance of Surnamed Africanus by Jefny Ashcroft at Wolverhampton City Archives

Arts friendly archives was an Arts Council England funded project, foregrounding ‘hidden’ histories in archives in the West Midlands through dramatic interpretation with the core aim of diversifying audiences. The project was devised and delivered by Jefny Ashcroft.

Working in association with Flow, I conducted audience research to determine the impact of the approach on visitors to Wolverhampton City Archives, Dudley Archives and The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
