May 8th 2020 marked the 75th anniversary of VE day – the day World War II ended in Europe.

I was commissioned to create this image-rich resource for primary schools, showing a brief overview of World War II, its devastating impacts on people and places in England, and some of the ways people celebrated – and commemorated – when it was finally all over.

Originally intended for teachers to use in an assembly or the classroom, it became the ideal home-schooling resource for the Covid-19 lockdown.

You can find it here.
